Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of SpeediSite's website and services. By submitting a project request or engaging our services, you agree to these terms in full. Please read them carefully.
1. Services
SpeediSite provides custom website design and delivery services for small businesses. The specific deliverables, package inclusions, and add-ons for each project are confirmed in writing prior to work commencing. We reserve the right to decline any project request at our discretion.
2. Quotes and pricing
The estimates generated by our quote tool are indicative and based on the options you select. Final pricing is confirmed in writing once we have reviewed your project requirements. All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes.
3. Deposit and payment
A non-refundable 10% deposit is required to begin work on your project. The deposit is payable once we have confirmed your project in writing. The remaining balance is due only once you have reviewed the completed website and are satisfied with the result. We reserve the right to withhold delivery of the final website until full payment is received.
4. Turnaround time
Our standard turnaround is 48 hours from the time we receive your deposit and all required information, including business details, brand assets, content, and references. Final delivery may be affected by:
- Client response time to requests for information or feedback
- Domain registration or transfer processing times (15 minutes to 7 days)
- Third-party integrations or services
- Revision scope
We will keep you updated on progress and any delays.
5. Revisions
Each project includes one round of revisions at no additional cost. A revision round covers adjustments to existing content, layout, and design within the agreed scope. Additional revision rounds are billed at $75 each. New pages, features, or add-ons not included in the original quote are priced separately.
6. Domain
Where a domain is included as part of a package, it must be an unregistered domain costing no more than $25 per year. The domain will be registered in the client's name and is theirs to keep. Annual renewal costs after the first year are the client's responsibility.
7. Ownership
Upon receipt of the final balance, ownership of the website and all associated files is transferred in full to the client. Until the final balance is paid, SpeediSite retains ownership of all work produced. There are no ongoing fees from SpeediSite. The client is responsible for any third-party hosting, subscription, or service fees incurred after delivery.
8. Hosting
SpeediSite websites are hosted on Netlify's free tier by default. If the client's site exceeds the limits of the free tier (including bandwidth), an upgrade to a paid Netlify plan may be required. The client is responsible for any hosting costs beyond the free tier. Third-party hosting policies and pricing are subject to change. The client retains ownership of all website files and may migrate to any other host at any time.
9. Client responsibilities
The client is responsible for:
- Providing accurate, complete, and timely information required to build the site
- Ensuring all content, images, logos, and materials provided do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party
- Reviewing and approving the completed website before final payment
SpeediSite accepts no liability for content supplied by the client.
10. Cancellation
The client may cancel at any time by notifying us in writing. The initial deposit is non-refundable once work has commenced. Any work completed up to the point of cancellation may be billable at our discretion.
11. Limitation of liability
SpeediSite's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of revenue, loss of data, or business interruption.
12. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
